Event dates: 9, 10, and 11 October 2026 Venue: Gateway Goa Palem, An IHCL Property in South Goa
Three days, one Exhibition Hall, and a lot of good conversations. Blizz Infrared Sauna had a successful showcase at the XVIII ISSMTCT Conference, the Annual Functional Medicine Meet in South Goa.
We were delighted to connect with doctors, healthcare professionals, and wellness experts while showing our infrared sauna technology and discussing new possibilities in modern wellness, recovery, and longevity focused care.
Thank you to everyone who visited us and made this event memorable.
About the Conference
The XVIII ISSMTCT Conference is an annual functional medicine meet that brings practitioners together for a conference, workshops, and an exhibition. This year’s edition at Gateway Goa Palem included workshops and scientific sessions, expert panels, networking events, and an exhibition of wellness and recovery technology.

Our Time at the Blizz Stall
We set up a working Blizz far infrared sauna cabin in the Exhibition Hall, so visitors could see the build, the glass door, the interior lighting, and the heater setup up close instead of only reading about it.
Over the three days, we had the chance to:
- Meet doctors and practitioners from different parts of India
- Answer questions about how infrared sauna fits into a clinic or wellness practice
- Walk visitors through the cabin and explain how it is built and installed
- Share our product catalogue with those who wanted to look at models and specifications

Meeting the Community
The best part of any conference is the people. We met practitioners from functional medicine, integrative care, and wellness backgrounds, as well as clinic owners and entrepreneurs who are planning new wellness spaces.
Here are a few moments from the stall.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by.
What We Heard from Practitioners
Without turning conversations into claims, here are the themes that came up most often:
- Interest in a supportive, complementary offering. Many practitioners want something that patients can use comfortably and regularly, alongside their existing protocols.
- Questions about evidence. Doctors asked what research supports infrared sauna. We shared our honest view: the best known sauna studies are on traditional Finnish saunas, and infrared research is smaller and still developing. You can read our full take in Infrared Sauna and Longevity: What the Research Actually Says.
- Careful claims. Practitioners care about accurate wording. We agree, and we explained why we avoid promising detox or cures in our content. See Infrared Sauna and Detox: Fact vs Marketing.
- Practical setup questions. Space, wiring, installation, and service were common topics, which is why we wrote the Infrared Sauna Buying Guide for India.
Why Events Like This Matter
Infrared sauna is still a new idea for many clinics in India. Meeting practitioners face to face lets us listen first, learn what their patients and clients need, and keep improving our cabins and our guidance. It also helps us stay honest about what the technology can and cannot do.
We have worked with Ayurvedic, naturopathy, and integrative practitioners across India for over 20 years. If you run a clinic, our guide is a good place to start: Infrared Sauna for Ayurvedic and Naturopathy Clinics.
